The Apple TV app is developed and released by Apple to allow access to videos and Apple TV+ programming. It supports Apple devices such as Apple TV consoles, iPhones, and iPads, as well as various 3rd party devices.

The Apple TV app was first introduced in October 2016 with the release of iOS 10.2 and replaced the Videos app for viewing videos previously synced through iTunes or purchased from the iTunes Store.[1] Support for Apple TV+ streaming services began on November 1, 2019.[2]
