Astro Bot (Stylized ASTRO BOT) is a game made by Sony interactive entertainment and is part of the Astro Bot series. it was released on September 6th, 2024. The game includes many callbacks to Playstation history. This Article Needs To Be Reviewed and remade.
History[]
In early 2024, there were rumors of a new Astro Bot game, because team ASOBI Was hiring for Their Biggest Game Yet, it turned out to be true, because ASTRO BOT was revealed on May 30th, 2024. It later released on September 6th 2024, to be met with rave reception!
Story[]
Astro Bot's Story Is Relatively Simple. It revolves around recovering the CPU Kid that Space Bully Nebulax Stole after destroying the PS5 Mothership, sending it tumbling to the Crash Site. Astro Must Go Through 5 Galaxies to recover Bots and Mothership Parts to restore the Mothership and Confront Nebulax. This is a simple story, because it is a game marketed towards kids.
Mechanics[]
Moveset[]
Astro's basic Moveset in ASTRO BOT is relatively simple. It has a basic punch, a charged long punch, jets to hover and potentially defeat enemies or break glass. However, there are 17 Power Ups that change up Astro's Moveset.
Power Ups[]
Dog[]
The Dog first appears in Construction Derby being a simple booster that can boost into certain objects for special interactions.
Frogs[]
The Frogs first appear in "Az-Tech Trail" being a homing punch that can pull and slingshot sometimes.
Octopus[]
The Octopus First Appears in "Sky Garden". They inflate Astro to float up. you can hold the trigger to blow air out.
Magnet[]
The Magnet First Appears in "Construction Derby", where it is a simple magnet that can cluster metal objects and throw them at targets.
Monkey[]
The Monkey First Appears in "Go, Go Archipelago!" where you can grab objects and throw, or climb up special rocks.
Armadillo[]
The Armadillo first appears in "Dashing Dillo" where Astro can climb on top of it. The Armadillo can roll fast and go over spikes.
Penguin[]
The Penguin first appears in "Bubbling Under". It makes swimming a lot easier.
Timer[]
The timer first appears in "Slo Mo Casino". It slows down time.
Chicken[]
The Chicken first appears in "Trapped in time". It is a boost that rockets up.
Sponge[]
The Sponge First Appears in "Bathhouse Battle". It starts small but can suck up water to become big. You can use the trigger to squeeze the water out.
Mouse[]
The Mouse First Appears in "Downsize Surprise". It can shrink in size by holding the trigger.
Elephant[]
The Elephant first appears in "Trunk of Funk". It can suck up liquids and place them as platforms.
Spike Mode[]
Spike Mode appears in "Apes on the Loose". It is based on Spike from Ape Escape. It activates when Spike Bot hands Astro his net. It has Two gadgets. The net can catch Apes, but has a little lag. The monkey radar can locate the nearest Ape (Bot).
Kratos Mode[]
Kratos Mode appears in "Bot of War". It is based on Kratos from God of War. It activates when Kratos Bot tosses his axe to Astro. Astro can throw the axe, and recall it.
Nathan Drake Mode[]
Nathan Drake Mode appears in "Dude Raiding". It is based on Nathan Drake from Uncharted. It activates when Nathan Drake Bot gives Astro his revolver. the revolver shoots ball pit balls and can shoot many targets fast.
LocoRoco Mode[]
LocoRoco Mode appears in "Going Loco". It is based on one of the Locorocoes from Locoroco. It activates when the Locoroco Bot holds astro's hand. The mode turns Astro into a Locoroco. In this mode, Astro can tilt to control, and split into smaller locorocoes.
Aloy Mode[]
Aloy Mode appears in "Machine Learning". it is based on Aloy from the Horizon Series. This mode activates when Aloy Bot hands Astro her Bow. In this mode, Astro can use a bow for precision aiming. When aiming, time is slowed.
Gameplay Mechanics[]
ASTRO BOT's General gameplay loop is Flying in with the dual speeder, then going through platforming levels, while rescuing bots on the way. There are also puzzle pieces, which can unlock new things in the Crash Site. Bots are used to break boss locks and perform tasks in the Crash Site.
