The Computer Entertainment Rating Organization (CERO) is the body responsible for video game ratings in Japan.

	Love
	Contains expressions of romance or love.

	Sexual Content
	Contains expressions of sexual relations and/or sexual activity.

	Violence
	Contains violent activity.

	Horror
	Contains frightful or horrific elements.

	Drinking / Smoking
	Contains depictions or references to the consumption of alcohol and/or cigarette or cigar smoking.

	Gambling
	Contains gambling activities, either by depiction or in interactive form.

	Crime
	Contains criminal activity, either by depiction or in interactive form.

	Controlled Substances / Drugs
	Contains depictions or references to the use of drugs and illegal narcotics.

	Language
	Contains profane, derogatory and/or bigoted language.

Icon	Description

	Educational / Database
	Used for non-game, educational software aimed towards older audiences. Expression and content may not be suitable for minors.

	Regulations-Compatible
	Used for trial versions of games. Not all expression and content included in the full game is featured.

	Rating Scheduled
	Used for promotional items and advertisements of games that are yet to be reviewed by CERO.
