Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy is a compilation of the three main games that belong to the third era of the Grand Theft Auto series. It was first released for PlayStation 2 in 2006, with a digital version bundling the PS2 Classic releases following in 2015 for PlayStation 3.
The compilation also originally served as the revised package for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, which had to be pulled from shelves due to the controversial "Hot Coffee" mod unintentionally accessible through the installation and use of mods.[1]
