Magic: The Gathering – Duels of the Planeswalkers is a digital collectible card game released in 2010 for PlayStation 3.

PlayStation Home Space[]

A public space based on Magic: The Gathering – Duels of the Planeswalkers was released on 10 February 2011 for PlayStation Home. It was filled with displays of characters and artwork from the game. There were also six mini-games available, with the ultimate goal of completing each to unlock a t-shirt reward and a section of a key. After completing all the games, the key could be completed and the player could redeem the ultimate reward.

Mini-Games[]

Many of the mini-games were one-player-only games and could only be played by one user at a time. There were six mini-games in total:

  • Fractured Picture and Fractured Statue – The player was shown an image broken into multiple pieces, and by rotating it with the left stick and zooming with the right stick, they needed to realign the pieces to recreate the original painting.
  • Art Fragments – The player was shown a small part of an image in the upper left. They then needed to find that image somewhere on a painting, place a magnifying glass over it, and press ✕. The image could be on any painting in the room, not just the painting in front of the puzzle.
  • Name That Card – An image of one of the paintings in the gallery was shown and the player needed to select the correct name from a multiple choice list. If all ten paintings were named correctly, the player would win.
  • Spot the Difference – Two paintings were shown that were nearly identical. The player needed to highlight and select the ten differences to win.
  • What Mana Color Are You? – A quiz that asked the player ten questions to find out what color of magic they would be.
