Ratchet & Clank is a series of platformer and third person shooter games. The series was created by Insomniac Games and is currently owned by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
Challenge Mode[]
Many of the games in the Ratchet & Clank series feature a New Game Plus in the form of "Challenge Mode". Once the game has been completed for the first time, the player can start a Challenge Mode playthrough were the enemies are tougher, there are better (and much more expensive) versions of the weapons to buy, and a bolt multiplier is added. The bolt multiplier multiples the number of bolts dropped by defeated enemies, increasing with the number of enemies defeated without taking damage, maxing out at 20x. The bolt multiplier drops back to 1x if Ratchet or Clank gets hit.
