Peter Benjamin Parker was a young high school 'nerd'. As he has lost his parents, Parker had to be raised by his uncle Ben and aunt May Parker. Eventually, he was bitten by a radioactive spider. And following the tragic death of his uncle, Peter, now known as the Spider-Man, swears to be a hero to all.
Although making though decisions, encountering various villains, and going through many demanding obstacles, Spider-Man still stands for New York City and the rest of society in general when it comes to any disaster.

Spider-Man[]
A supposedly reformed Dr. Otto Octavius is holding a scientific demonstration at Science Expo 2000, but is interrupted when an impostor formed as Spider-Man attacks the crew and steals his equipment. Eddie Brock tries to take pictures for the Daily Bugle, but the impostor shatters his camera. In rage, the Venom symbiote resurfaces inside Brock, and he vows revenge against Spider-Man. Meanwhile, the real Spider-Man, who witnessed the incident, is held responsible for the theft, and the police ensue a manhunt for him. Elsewhere, two unseen figures release some fog from their hidden base into the city, which quickly covers the streets.
After meeting with Black Cat and foiling a bank robbery by the Jade Syndicate, Spider-Man is forced to save J. Jonah Jameson from Scorpion. He defeats Scorpion, only for an ungrateful Jameson to call the police on him. While trying to escape, Spider-Man encounters Daredevil, who promises to spread the word about Spider-Man's innocence. After evading a police chopper, Spider-Man reunites with Black Cat, who informs him of two new problems: Rhino is attacking a power plant, and Venom has kidnapped his wife Mary Jane Parker to lure out Spider-Man. Choosing to deal with Rhino first, Spider-Man and Black Cat defeat him and leave him for the police, but the latter, badly wounded during the fight, is kidnapped by unknown assailants posing as paramedics.
After encouragement from the Human Torch, Spider-Man sets out to find Venom, only for him appear behind Spider-Man and lead him on a chase through the city and then the sewers. While pursuing Venom, Spider-Man encounters the Lizard, who was imprisoned by Venom after taking control of his lizard-men (which attacked Spider-Man at various points during the chase). The Lizard points Spider-Man to Venom's lair, where the former rescues Mary Jane and defeats Venom. To make amends with Spider-Man after learning he was framed, Venom offers to help him figure out who did it. The two go to the Daily Bugle to search through Jameson's files for answers, but during the search, Venom senses Carnage's presence nearby and leaves to find him.
Left to investigate on his own, Spider-Man discovers an infestation of symbiotes in the building and clears them out, before encountering the impostor Spider-Man, revealed to be Mysterio in disguise. After defeating him, Spider-Man learns Mysterio was hired to keep Spider-Man distracted while his employer infests New York with symbiotes, and that the fog over the city will act as a beacon for the symbiotes, preparing the citizens for symbiosis. On his way to Warehouse 65, where the hideout of Mysterio's employer is located, Spider-Man encounters the Punisher, whom he convinces about his innocence and, in turn, he helps Spider-Man infiltrate the warehouse.
Spider-Man discovers an entrance to a massive undersea base inside the warehouse, and proceeds to investigate, quickly coming across a symbiote manufacturing operation and an imprisoned Black Cat. After disrupting the operation and rescuing Black Cat, Spider-Man finally confronts her kidnappers and the masterminds behind the symbiote invasion: Octavius and Carnage. Taking up his Doctor Octopus persona once again, Octavius explains that he faked his reform and that, with the help of Carnage - who donated his symbiote to be cloned - he hopes to create a new world dominated by symbiotes, under his rule. Just then, Venom appears and takes on Carnage, while Spider-Man fights Doc Ock. After both Doc Ock and Venom are defeated, Spider-Man fights Carnage and defeats him by tossing him into a sonic bubble. However, the Carnage symbiote then fuses with Doc Ock, creating Monster-Ock, who proceeds to chase Spider-Man through the self-destructing base until he is caught in an explosion, which removes the symbiote from Doc Ock's body. Spider-Man carries the unconscious Doc Ock to the surface, where they are saved by Captain America, Black Cat, and Venom.
In the epilogue, at the S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters, Spider-Man is playing cards with Captain America, Daredevil, and the Punisher, while Black Cat and the Human Torch are dancing. In prison, Mysterio, Rhino, Scorpion, and a Jade Syndicate thug are also playing cards, while an annoyed Doc Ock is banging his head against the cell bars.[1]
Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro[]
Shortly after the events of Spider-Man, a series of robberies led by Electro take place throughout New York City. While out on patrol, Spider-Man spots one of the robberies taking place at a building owned by BioTech. Planting a Spider-Tracer on the head thief's motorcycle, Spider-Man follows it to an abandoned warehouse where the thief is passing off a stolen briefcase to a contact. Spider-Man takes out the thugs and interrogates one of them, before being forced to fight the head thug: Shocker.
After defeating Shocker, Spider-Man follows the thug's tip and heads for an airfield, where the contact is headed towards. Along the way, he is forced to disable a bomb threat, take out a machine-gun nest, and stop a runaway airplane from crashing. As the contact escapes via helicopter, Spider-Man plants another tracer on it and tracks it to a train yard owned by Hammerhead, where he must fight through the mob-employed night staff and Sandman to stop the contact from fleeing aboard a train. Spider-Man eventually confronts the contact, the Beetle, and although the latter manages to escape with the briefcase, he unknowingly leaves behind a clue for Spider-Man: an invitation to the Science and Industry Ball.
Meanwhile, Electro explains his master plan to his accomplices: to use the Bio-Nexus Device, which can amplify one's bio-energy to power a city block, to amplify his own powers to godlike levels. The villains have acquired most of the pieces that make up the device, but they still need its power source. Believing its creator, Dr. Watts, might know where it is located, Electro sends Hammerhead and his men to kidnap her at the ball. Hammerhead takes several people hostage, but is foiled by Spider-Man, who rescues the hostages before facing and defeating Hammerhead. However, Dr. Watts is captured by Sandman during the confusion.
Looking for more information on Dr. Watts and why she is sought by the villains, Spider-Man calls Dr. Curt Connors, her colleague at BioTech, only to hear strange roars on the other end of the line. Deciding to investigate what happened to Connors, Spider-Man infiltrates BioTech and makes his way past security to reach Connors' lab, where he finds the scientist has transformed into the Lizard. After creating an antidote to restore Connors back to normal, Spider-Man learns from him about Electro's plans with the Bio-Nexus Device. He then goes to investigate Dr. Watts' lab and discovers that the device can be powered by a special sapphire. After defeating Sandman, Spider-Man sees a newspaper article about the sapphire on display at the museum, and rushes to get there before Electro.
Electro beats Spider-Man to the museum, but the latter defeats him inside the planetarium and secures the sapphire. Still holding Dr. Watts hostage, Electro coerces Spider-Man into giving him the sapphire by threatening the doctor's life. Spider-Man throws the jewel into the air as Electro releases Dr. Watts, but when the former attempts to take back the sapphire with his webs, he misses, allowing Electro to grab it. The Bio-Nexus Device complete, Electro uses it to supercharge himself into "Hyper-Electro", an all-powerful being made of pure electrical energy, and flies away in a bolt of lighting. Spider-Man follows him to the top of a nearby skyscraper where, unable to directly attack him, instead uses the tower's generators to overload the Bio-Nexus Device, destroying it and ending Electro's power play for good.
The next day, Thor is credited in the Daily Bugle with saving New York from Electro, much to Spider-Man's disappointment.[2]
Spider-Man: The Movie[]
Outcast teen genius Peter Parker develops spider-like superhuman abilities after being bitten by a genetically altered spider created by Oscorp. He learns how to use his newfound powers in the form of an optional tutorial, narrated by Bruce Campbell. Peter then decides to use his powers for personal gain and competes in a wrestling match as "Spider-Man"; however, he is cheated out of his prize money by the fight promoter. The promoter is then robbed by a thief, whom Peter lets go out of spite. Shortly after, Peter is devastated when his Uncle Ben is killed by a man, whom the police identify as the leader of the Skulls gang. Peter tracks down and defeats the murderer at a warehouse where he is hiding from the police, only to learn he is the same thief he let go earlier, who then dies after accidentally slipping out of a window. Remembering Ben's words that "with great power comes great responsibility", Peter vows to use his powers to fight evil, and becomes the superhero Spider-Man. He also gets a job at the Daily Bugle as a photographer after selling photos of himself as Spider-Man.
Meanwhile, Oscorp CEO Norman Osborn and his scientists are investigating the appearance of this new hero. Anxious to develop his Human Performance Enhancer "Super Soldier" serum, the main goals of which are already exhibited by Spider-Man, Osborn sends robots to capture him, but Spider-Man destroys them. Later, Spider-Man witnesses the Shocker and the Vulture robbing a jewelry store and escape separately. Going after Shocker first, Spider-Man pursues him through the sewers and into a subway station, where he defeats him. Not wanting to let the Vulture get away with his share of the loot, Shocker informs Spider-Man of his hideout in an old clock tower. Spider-Man climbs the tower, but the Vulture attempts to escape. After a chase through the city, Spider-Man finally defeats Vulture on top of the Chrysler Building, and leaves him and the stolen loot for the police.
Later, Oscorp creates several spider-shaped robots to track down Spider-Man, but they pursue Scorpion instead, whom they had mistaken for the web-slinger due to him also having arachnid DNA. Peter runs into Scorpion after returning to the subway station to take photos of his battle site with Shocker, and, as Spider-Man, helps him fight off the robots pursuing him. However, an increasingly paranoid Scorpion then attacks Spider-Man, believing he is trying to take him back to the scientists who tortured and gave him his powers. Scorpion is defeated, but manages to escape.
Meanwhile, Osborn is fired from Oscorp due to failing to complete the super soldier serum in time, and decides to test it on himself, leading to the creation of a psychopathic alternate personality: the Green Goblin. Sporting an experimental armor, glider, and arsenal of weapons, he attacks the yearly Oscorp Unity Day Festival to exact revenge on those who fired him. Spider-Man rescues his crush, Mary Jane Watson, from being collateral damage, who kisses him, and defeats the Goblin. He offers Spider-Man a chance to join him, but when the hero refuses, the Goblin reveals that he has planted bombs downtown, and escapes while Spider-Man goes to disarm them.
In the Xbox version only, Osborn later hires Kraven the Hunter to capture Spider-Man. Luring him to a zoo, Kraven poisons with a lethal gas and forces him to make his way past corridors filled with traps, all the while he is hunting him. Ultimately, Spider-Man defeats Kraven and leaves him for the police, obtaining an antidote in the process.
After studying a piece of the Green Goblin's gear that fell during their fight and learning it was manufactured by Oscorp, Spider-Man decides to investigate the company's connection with the Goblin. Infiltrating the Oscorp building, he avoids detection by the security as he makes his way to the secret labs, where he discovers chemical weapons, which he neutralizes. After a fight with a giant robot, Spider-Man arrives in Osborn's office and learns that the Goblin knows about Mary Jane kissing him and most likely kidnapped her to lure Spider-Man to him. Following a narrow escape from Oscorp, Spider-Man chases the Goblin to the Queensboro Bridge, where he rescues Mary Jane and defeats the villain. The Goblin then unmasks himself as Norman and, in a final attempt on Spider-Man's life, accidentally gets impaled by his glider. Afterwards, Spider-Man and Mary Jane share a kiss, preventing him from revealing his secret identity to her. Spider-Man then ends the game by saying "Looks like you're done now. Go outside and play.", breaking the fourth wall.[3]
Spider-Man 2[]
Two years after the Norman Osborn/Green Gobin’s death, Spider-Man is struggling to balance his double life, frequently being late or absent for school and leisure time with his friends: his crush, Mary Jane Watson, and best friend Harry Osborn, who blames Spider-Man for his father's death. While stopping a museum robbery, Spider-Man encounters cat burglar Black Cat. The two become allies and work together on multiple occasions to fight crime.
Spider-Man defeats the supervillain Rhino, and is challenged by special effects artists Quentin Beck to partake in a series of "games" meant to prove he is a fraud. After Spider-Man prevails, an embarrassed Beck assumes the identity of "Mysterio" and leads attacks on both an opera and the Statue of Liberty, which Spider-Man foils. He later tracks down Mysterio to his apartment and overcomes another series of challenges, learning that Mysterio is a fraud, despite his escape.
Harry introduces Peter to Dr. Otto Octavius, a nuclear scientist who is trying to make a fusion power experiment, sponsored by Oscorp, which would provide an unlimited source power to Manhattan. Octavius befriends and begins to mentor Peter. While handling hazardous materials, Octavius wears a harness of powerful robotic tentacle arms with artificial intelligence. During a public demonstration that Peter and Harry attend, a power spike causes the fusion reactor to destabilize. Octavius refuses to shut down the reactor, which goes critical – killing his wife and burning the inhibitor chip blocking the arms from his nervous system. Peter, as Spider-Man, shuts the experiment down, destroying it in the process. Later, the arms' AI begins to influence Octavius, who becomes the villain Doctor Octopus after a confrontation with his former friend and colleague, Curt Connors, and aims to recreate the experiment. To get the necessary funding, he robs a bank while Peter is there with his Aunt May, and kidnaps the latter as a distraction, but Spider-Man saves her.
Spider-Man learns that Mary Jane is getting married to John Jameson and reunites with Black Cat, who tries to convince him to give up on his civilian life to be Spider-Man full-time. The pair work together to track down the Shocker, who escaped from prison during Beck's initial competition with Spider-Man, and defeat him, but he escapes. Later, Spider-Man confronts Mysterio at the Mini-Mart as he tells him that he has trifled with his power for the last time and he will face his doom, punches him to unmask him and takes photos of him for the Daily Bugle, only for his boss, J. Jonah Jameson, to make it look like he and Spider-Man were partners. Enraged by this, Spider-Man decides to confront him, but is stopped by Black Cat, who informs him of Shocker's return. Following Shocker's defeat and capture, Spider-Man tells Black Cat that he cannot give up on his civilian or superhero life, which she understands, before parting ways.
Requiring the isotope tritium to fuel his reactor, Octavius visits Harry to demand it, who agrees to help in exchange for Spider-Man, and tells him to seek Peter, who Harry believes is friends with the hero. Octavius locates Peter, tells him to find Spider-Man, and captures Mary Jane. Spider-Man confronts Octavius and battles him on top of a New York City Subway train. Octavius sabotages the controls and leaves Spider-Man to save the passengers, which he does at a great physical toll. Spider-Man falls unconscious, allowing Octavius to deliver him to Harry. As Octavius leaves with the tritium, Harry prepares to kill Spider-Man, only to be shocked to see Peter under the mask. Peter convinces Harry to direct him to Octavius' lair, as bigger things are at stake. As Peter arrives at Octavius's waterfront laboratory and attempts to rescue Mary Jane discreetly, Octavius discovers him, and they battle while the nuclear reaction swells. Peter ultimately subdues Octavius, reveals his identity, and helps Octavius return to his senses. Realizing the error of his ways, he gives his life to destroy the experiment, while Spider-Man rescues Mary Jane, who is now aware of his secret identity.
On her wedding day, Mary Jane abandons John at the altar and runs to Peter's apartment. She confesses her feelings for him and says that she will be fully supportive of his double life. As they hear police sirens in the distance, Mary Jane encourages Peter to go help as Spider-Man.[4]

While patrolling the city, Spider-Man spots several thugs attempting to rob a bank and stops them. He follows a van chased by the police to the Queensboro Bridge, where the chase has led to a massive traffic accident. After saving the endangered civilians and cops, he continues his pursuit of the van to a warehouse, where the explosives the thugs were carrying provoke a massive fire. Spider-Man puts out the flames and defeats all the crooks.

Peter learns that a prison riot allowed several supervillains to escape, and is tasked by his boss, J. Jonah Jameson, with taking photos of the gala at the Wax Museum. There, he discovers that Mysterio, one of the escaped villains, is holding everyone in attendance hostage, and infiltrates the museum as Spider-Man to rescue them and defeat Mysterio. The next day, Peter accompanies Aunt May at the bank, when Octavius and his goons rob it, in order to fund a second experiment. Spider-Man beats the goons and saves several hostages, before fighting Octavius inside the vault, who escapes with the money. After a chase through the city, Spider-Man loses Octavius.
Spider-Man foils a bomb threat orchestrated by the Vulture, another escaped villain, who reveals that the Shocker also escaped and is planning a job at a warehouse. Spider-Man goes there and defeats both Shocker and Rhino, the one who broke the other villains out of prison. As he leaves them for the police, Shocker reveals that they were hired by Octavius to steal a piece of high tech equipment, and Spider-Man deduces that he is trying to recreate the experiment.

Ultimate Spider-Man[]
After explaining how he came to be Spider-Man, Peter Parker reveals that his and Eddie Brock's fathers worked together on finding a cure for terminal diseases, and created a black liquid substance that can envelop one's body and heal them, in addition to enhancing their strength and granting them super-human abilities. However, they were tricked into selling the "suit" to Trask Industries, and later died in a plane crash before they could complete work on it. Years later, Peter and Eddie reunite and discover the suit is their inheritance. After learning how his dad was tricked by Trask Industries, Spider-Man tries to take the suit and is covered by a portion of it. While it enhances his powers, the unstable suit also tries to consume him, forcing Peter to swiftly remove it. After learning of this and deducing Peter's identity as Spider-Man, Eddie's feelings of betrayal prompt him to take the rest of the suit for himself, becoming Venom.
After a fight with Peter that results in Venom's apparent death, Adrian Toomes, an employee of Bolivar Trask that witnessed their confrontation, contacts his boss to inform him of the suit's abilities. Three months later, while Peter has returned to his normal life, a still-living Eddie has been forced to feed on the life energy of civilians to prevent the suit from consuming him. One night, he attacks and defeats Wolverine to prove his superior strength. The following day, at Mary Jane Watson's pleads, Spider-Man investigates something rampaging through Queens, and discovers it to be R.H.I.N.O., a giant, rhinoceros-themed mecha suit, built by Trask Industries. He ultimately defeats R.H.I.N.O. and leaves its pilot, Alex O'Hirn, for the police. Meanwhile, Trask hires the Wild Pack, led by Silver Sable, to capture Eddie, but he defeats them as Venom and escapes.
During a field trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Peter senses Venom's presence nearby and defeats him. Venom is captured by Sable, who Spider-Man assumes is working for S.H.I.E.L.D., and imprisoned inside an energy cage by Trask. Forced to test the Venom suit for him, he chases and defeats Electro, while protecting Spider-Man, who was knocked unconscious by Electro when he interfered. As S.H.I.E.L.D. arrives and arrests Electro, Venom flees and Nick Fury wakes up Spider-Man, only for him to storm off after berating Fury over constantly interfering with his life. Eddie returns to Trask and informs him that he had more control over the suit in Spider-Man's presence. Remembering that Richard Parker's DNA was used as the basis of the suit, Trask concludes that Peter is Spider-Man and that getting some of his DNA will help stabilize the suit. Sable takes Eddie to track down Peter, but he transforms into Venom and escapes.
Meanwhile, the Beetle releases the Green Goblin and steals a vial containing a sample of the Sandman for his mysterious employer. After an encounter with Spider-Man, he escapes to the Latverian Embassy. Nick Fury later asks Spider-Man to infiltrate the Embassy, only for the Goblin to emerge from inside, though Spider-Man quickly subdues him, leading to his re-incarceration. Elsewhere, Venom defeats the Beetle when he attempts to collect a sample of the symbiote.
Silver Sable later kidnaps Peter and attempts to deliver him to Trask, but he escapes and fights her. Venom interferes and kidnaps Sable, forcing Spider-Man to give chase. The confrontation leaves both exhausted, allowing Sable to deliver them to Trask. While Eddie is imprisoned, Peter is injected by Toomes with a makeshift sample of the Venom suit, becoming Carnage and going on a rampage. Venom escapes and defeats Carnage, before absorbing the symbiote off Peter, which gives him full control over the suit. He then attempts to exact revenge on Trask, but Spider-Man goes to warn him, leading Trask to attempt to escape via helicopter. When Venom tries to destroy the helicopter, Spider-Man stops and defeats him.[5]
Spider-Man 3[]
A year after Doctor Octopus' death, Spider-Man stops a new gang, the H-Bombers, from blowing up the Carlyle building. The next day, Peter Parker explains that the city finally sees Spider-Man as a hero and there has been no major threat recently, though new problems arise in the form of Eddie Brock, Peter's rival at the Daily Bugle, Harry Osborn, who blames Spider-Man for his father's death, and new gangs terrorizing the city: the H-Bombers, the Apocalypse, the Arsenic Candies, and the Dragon Tail. However, these gangs don't prove to be too much of a threat, as Spider-Man easily foils their plans on multiple occasions. At the same time, an alien symbiote inside a meteor crashes in Central Park and attaches itself to Peter's shoe, who was there with his girlfriend, Mary Jane Watson, and Harry becomes the New Goblin to exact revenge on Peter.
Later, Peter investigates the lab of his science teacher, Dr. Curt Connors, who was reported missing, and discovers he was experimenting on himself with a lizard DNA serum in the hopes of regrowing his right arm, only to transform into the ferocious Lizard. After the Lizard attacks him, Spider-Man pursues him into the sewers, discovering that numerous other people have also been transformed into lizards, and the villain's plot is to release these lizards into the city. While Spider-Man defeats the Lizard and thwarts his schemes, he escapes further into the sewers. Upon returning to the city, Peter is attacked by the New Goblin, whom he defeats and knocks unconscious before taking him to the hospital to recover. Elsewhere, escaped convict Flint Marko accidentally falls into a cockpit full of sand while scientists are doing experiments there, and is transformed into the supervillain Sandman.
The next day, Spider-Man continues his battle against the H-Bombers, aided by Detective Jean DeWolfe, whom he helps investigate some corrupt cops. Upon learning the Bomber's leader is businessman Luke Carlyle, Spider-Man foils their final attack on the Daily Bugle, saving J. Jonah Jameson and destroying the Bomber's helicopter in the process, despite Carlyle's escape. At the same time, Spider-Man investigates the connection between Scorpion and science corporation MechaBioCon and learns that head scientist Dr. Stillwell has placed Scorpion under mind control and transformed him into a living weapon to carry out various tasks. Spider-Man ultimately frees Scorpion from Stillwell's control, with the help of Dr. Andrews, who developed feelings for Scorpion and wants his wellbeing. Upon returning home, Spider-Man is approached by the symbiote, which envelops his body, leading to a new black suit that enhances his powers. After spotting Sandman robbing a bank, Spider-Man pursues him into the subway and fights him, before the symbiote's influence leads him to almost kill Sandman by releasing a large amount of water upon him.
The following day, Peter humiliates Eddie Brock as Spider-Man and earns a promotion in his place after they both receive the same assignment, leading him to swear revenge against both Peter and Spider-Man. He also finds the Lizard again and reverts him back to his human form, despite Kraven the Hunter and Calypso attempting to hunt the Lizard and then transforming him into "Mega Lizard". After Spider-Man again foils the schemes of the gangs he has been facing, the Kingpin attempts to unite them against Spider-Man, who foils his plan after a fight which results in Kingpin's apparent death. Later, after Peter becomes violent during a date with Mary Jane, she breaks up with him. Realizing the black suit is increasing his aggressiveness, Spider-Man retreats to a nearby church and removes the symbiote using the bell's sonic vibrations. However, the symbiote then attaches to Brock, who followed Spider-Man and watched him unmask himself, turning him into Venom.
Spider-Man later helps Connors make up for his actions by curing the other lizards and helps Scorpion exact revenge on Stillwell, defeating Rhino and rescuing Dr. Andrews in the process. When Scorpion attempts to kill Stillwell, Andrews helps him realize this will only make him the monster Stillwell wants him to be, so he leaves, while Spider-Man hands Stillwell over to the police. Meanwhile, Venom blackmails Sandman into helping him kill Spider-Man, threatening to murder his daughter. The pair kidnap Mary Jane to lure out Spider-Man, while a recovered Harry comes to his friends' aid. He rescues Mary Jane and defeats Sandman, before Venom kills him. Spider-Man ultimately defeats Venom using sonic vibrations, but the villain dies after being impaled on some steel bars.
Afterwards, Spider-Man reconciles with Mary Jane, while Sandman is reunited with his daughter, who was rescued by the police. He apologizes to Spider-Man and leaves peacefully. The game ends with Peter resuming his neverending battle against crime, while stating that the only way to honor and remember those he loves is by never giving up being Spider-Man.[6]

However, these gangs don't prove to be too much of a threat, and Spider-Man makes quick work of the H-Bombers, foiling their attacks on the Daily Bugle's Printing Plant and Regional Office. At the same time, one of his assignments from his boss, J. Jonah Jameson, have him encounter a group of humanoid lizards in Central Park.
That night, while Peter is with his girlfriend, Mary Jane Watson, an alien symbiote inside a meteor crashes nearby and attaches itself to Peter's shoe. Shortly after, Peter is attacked by Harry, who became the New Goblin to exact revenge on him, but defeats him and knocks him unconscious, before bringing him to a hospital to recover. Elsewhere, escaped convict Flint Marko accidentally falls into a cockpit full of sand while scientists are doing experiments there, and is transformed into the supervillain Sandman. After returning home, Spider-Man is approached by the symbiote, which envelops his body, leading to a new black suit that enhances his powers. The following day, after the H-Bombers attack the Daily Bugle, Spider-Man defeats them for good and unmasks their leader as businessman Luke Carlyle.
Later, Peter investigates the lab of his science teacher, Dr. Curt Connors, who was reported missing, and discovers he was experimenting on himself with a lizard DNA serum in the hopes of regrowing his right arm, only to transform into the ferocious Lizard. After the Lizard attacks him, Spider-Man pursues him into the sewers, discovering that numerous other people have also been transformed into lizard, and the villain's plot to release these lizards into the city. He also encounters Kraven the Hunter, who is trying to hunt both him and the Lizard. While Spider-Man defeats the Lizard and thwarts his schemes, he escapes further into the sewers. Eventually, Spider-Man tracks down the Lizard again, just as he was beaten by Kraven and reverted to his human form. While Spider-Man defeats Kraven, Connors injects himself with another serum that transforms him into "Mega Lizard", but Spider-Man is able to again restore him to his human form. Grateful, Connors later promises to help Spider-Man analyze the symbiote.
After another assignment from Jameson leads Spider-Man to encounter a vampire, he defeats the creature and brings it to Connors, who reveals the vampire to be renowned biochemist Dr. Michael Morbius. With Morbius claiming that his wife Shriek was responsible for his transformation, Spider-Man tracks her down, thwarting her attempt to mind control the people of New York, though Shriek escapes. After battling Shriek's gang, the Waste Tribe, Spider-Man learns about her whereabouts and takes Morbius to her so that she could cure him. However, Shriek turns Morbius against Spider-Man, who defeats him, before fighting Shriek as well. Using the symbiote to overcome her powers, Spider-Man defeats Shriek, who then cures Morbius of his vampirism, but is left severely weakened and falls into a coma. Spider-Man leaves the unconscious Shriek in Morbius' and Connors' care and departs.
Upon discovering Eddie Brock disguising himself as a black suited Spider-Man to frame the real Spider-Man, Peter expose his scheme as the real Spider-Man, and earns a promotion in his place after they both receive the same assignment, leading him to swear revenge against both Peter and Spider-Man. As the public becomes cautious of how dangerous Spider-Man have become while donning a black suit, Peter was planning to stand down from using the black suit too much. However, during a battle against Sandman after he robs an armored van, Spider-Man left no option to use the black suit. During his one last attempt to wear the alien suit, the symbiote’s influence has completely turned him violent, and almost kill Sandman by releasing a large amount of water upon him. Due to the suit cannot be removed or cooldown during his last crime fighting against Sandman, its violent influence on Peter causes Mary Jane to break up with him during their date. Saddened, along with re-learning the black suit’s negative influence cannot be suppressed anymore, he retreats to a nearby church, where he removes the symbiote using the bell's sonic vibrations. However, the symbiote then attaches to Brock, who followed Spider-Man and watched him unmask himself, turning him into Venom. He blackmails Sandman into helping him kill Spider-Man, threatening to murder his daughter. The pair kidnap Mary Jane to lure out Spider-Man, while a recovered Harry comes to his friends' aid. He rescues Mary Jane and Sandman's daughter, and helps Spider-Man defeat Sandman, before Venom kills him. Spider-Man ultimately defeats Venom using sonic vibrations, causing Eddie to black out after the symbiote collapses and disintegrates; this is likely due to the symbiote being overworked during the fight, causing both it and Brock to die when it consumes too much of his vitality.
Afterwards, Spider-Man reconciles with Mary Jane, while Sandman is reunited with his daughter. He apologizes to Spider-Man and leaves peacefully. The game ends with Spider-Man resuming his never-ending battle against crime, while stating that the only way to honor and remember those he loves is by never giving up being Spider-Man.[6]
Spider-Man: Friend or Foe[]
The game's opening cutscene shows Spider-Man fighting the Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Sandman, and Venom, with assistance from the New Goblin. After the villains are defeated, they are attacked by a number of symbiote-like creatures. Before they get the chance to fight them, the villains and the New Goblin are teleported away by an unknown force, while Spider-Man is rescued by S.H.I.E.L.D. and brought aboard their Helicarrier. There, he meets director Nick Fury, who explains that the creatures which attacked them are called P.H.A.N.T.O.M.s (Perpetual Holographic Avatar Nano-Tech Offensive Monsters), and are combination of symbiotes and holographic technology. He then reveals that the meteor which brought the Venom symbiote to Earth broke into multiple shards in the planet's atmosphere, which landed in various locations across the globe. Reportedly, someone already retrieved some of the shards and used them to create the P.H.A.N.T.O.M.s, so Spider-Man is now tasked with recovering the remaining shards before they fall into the wrong hands.
Spider-Man is given several S.H.I.E.L.D. operatives to aid him in his quest, starting with Prowler and Silver Sable. In Tokyo, the web-slinger encounters Black Cat, whom S.H.I.E.L.D. sent ahead to investigate, and Spider-Man convinces her to join forces. He also finds Doctor Octopus at his secret lab, where he is attempting to recreate his fusion power experiment, and the Green Goblin at the Oscorp Tower, who has already retrieved a meteor shard. Since both villains were placed under mind control by the P.H.A.N.T.O.M.s' creator, they now seek revenge against them, and reluctantly join forces with Spider-Man after he defeats and frees them from the mind control. On Tangaroa Island, Spider-Man rescues another S.H.I.E.L.D. operative, Iron Fist, from P.H.A.N.T.O.M.s, and defeats a mind-controlled Scorpion and Rhino, retrieving a meteor shard from the latter, while persuading both of them to join his team. In Cairo, Spider-Man encounters the Lizard (portrayed here as an antihero), whom he also recruits, and defeats a brainwashed Sandman, who hands over his meteor shard and agrees to join forces. In Transylvania, Spider-Man finds Blade fighting P.H.A.N.T.O.M.s while hunting something and recruits him. He later discovers that the creature Blade was hunting is a mind-controlled Venom, whom he defeats, while retrieving his meteor shard. Afterwards, Venom recounts that the person who brainwashed him has a "bubble for a head", and is recruited into the team, despite Spider-Man not being very keen on the idea.
Although Spider-Man's team was able to retrieve all the meteor shards, the P.H.A.N.T.O.M.s have been shown to be growing stronger with each location they visited, to the point they now resemble symbiotes, without any sign of technology in them. In Nepal, Spider-Man's search for the final meteor shard leads him to encounter the P.H.A.N.T.O.M.s' creator: Mysterio. Claiming that he wants to conquer the world with his army and that he needs the meteor shards to make them stronger, Mysterio steals most of Spider-Man's shards and escapes, leaving his P.H.A.N.T.O.M.s to fight the web-slinger. Outnumbered, Spider-Man reluctantly crushes his last shard in his hand, leading to the recreation of his symbiote black suit, which enhances his powers. Fighting his way past the last remaining P.H.A.N.T.O.M.s to reach Mysterio's hideout, Spider-Man ultimately defeats the villain and claims back the stolen shards. Upon returning to the Helicarrier to hand them over to Nick Fury and have his black suit removed, Spider-Man is thanked for his help and returns home.[7]
Spider-Man: Web of Shadows[]
The game begins with Spider-Man looking for Mary Jane Watson amidst the symbiote invasion in Manhattan. After finding her with Luke Cage, he is attacked by an unknown assailant. Four days prior, Spider-Man has an encounter with Venom, during which part of the latter's symbiote attaches itself to Spider-Man, recreating his black suit. Spider-Man discovers he has more control over the symbiote, and easily defeats Venom, who flees afterward. Later, while helping Luke Cage deal with a gang war in Harlem, Spider-Man finds evidence that the Kingpin is responsible for the war. During a parley between the two gang's leaders and Cage, Spider-Man can either present the evidence in order to end the war peacefully, or let the gangs finish each other off.
Shortly after, Spider-Man goes to confront Kingpin at Fisk Tower, but ends up chasing a fleeing Black Cat. With assistance from Moon Knight, Spider-Man defeats Black Cat, only to discover that she is a double agent trying to bring down the Kingpin in an attempt to gain Spider-Man's affection. Returning or rejecting Black Cat's feelings, Spider-Man join forces with either her or Moon Knight to dismantle the Kingpin's operations, including his production of Goblin gliders, led by the Vulture. During a fight with Kingpin's men, Spider-Man is attacked by several symbiote-infected civilians, and decides to investigate. He encounters Wolverine, who is also hunting symbiotes and mistakes Spider-Man for one, but the two settle their differences after a brief fight. Spider-Man's investigation leads him to Venom, who has been abducting and infecting civilians with his symbiote, but he escapes once again. As more people become infected, a S.H.I.E.L.D. team led by Black Widow sets up quarantine camps across Manhattan. Electro rampages through them in search of his sister, but is defeated by Spider-Man, and escapes after being infected by a symbiote.
Unable to contact any scientific genius, Spider-Man breaks the Tinkerer out of Ryker's Island, aided by an incarcerated Rhino, so that he could create a device to destroy the symbiotes without harming the hosts. However, by this point the symbiotes have taken over Manhattan, forcing S.H.I.E.L.D. to isolate it from the rest of New York and set up several bases across the island. While S.H.I.E.L.D. constructs the Tinkerer's device, Spider-Man assists with various operations, including persuading the Kingpin to aid S.H.I.E.L.D. and defeating Symbiote Electro, who also agrees to help after Spider-Man removes his symbiote. Spider-Man also defends the S.H.I.E.L.D. base at Stark Tower from a symbiote attack, assists Moon Knight in protecting Spector Tower, and aids Wolverine with a civilian evacuation. During the evacuation, Wolverine gets infected by a symbiote, but Spider-Man defeats and rescues him, potentially ripping him in half under the symbiote suit's influence.
After assisting Mary Jane and Luke Cage with escorting civilians from Harlem to Fisk Tower, Spider-Man is devastated when he learns the two have gone missing, and leaves to find them, leading to the game's opening sequence. The person who attacked him is revealed to be Symbiote Black Cat, whom he defeats with Mary Jane's help. However, Black Cat is severely injured in the process, forcing Spider-Man to leave her in Mary Jane's care, or infect her with a symbiote to heal her, which upsets Mary Jane. Meanwhile, S.H.I.E.L.D. installs the Tinkerer's device, but Symbiote Vulture leads an aerial assault to destroy it. After defeating Symbiote Vulture, Spider-Man either activates the device, which eliminates all the symbiotes in Manhattan, including his black suit, or destroys it at Vulture's urgings, who advises him to rule over the symbiotes.
Either way, Spider-Man learns Venom is attacking the Helicarrier and proceeds to plant explosives across the doomed aircraft, before being confronted by a giant, five-headed Venom. After destroying four heads and failing to kill Venom with a Helicarrier turret, Spider-Man persuades Eddie Brock to come out of Venom and pay for his actions. After Brock dies, either at Spider-Man's hands or by committing a heroic sacrifice, Spider-Man escapes from the Helicarrier, just as the explosives detonate, destroying the aircraft and Venom.
In the aftermath, Spider-Man either oversees Manhattan's return to normal, while reconciling with Mary Jane or hoping that she will eventually forgive him; or takes over the island as the new symbiote leader, alone or with Black Cat at his side. In the latter scenario, Black Widow, the Kingpin, the Tinkerer and Symbiote Wolverine strike an alliance to eliminate Spider-Man.[8]
PSP & PS2 Version[]
After an encounter between Spider-Man and Venom, the latter inexplicably explodes, leaving no trace of Eddie Brock and causing Spider-Man to regain his symbiote black suit. Later, Spider-Man is surprised when Nick Fury calls him and reveals that Venom has infested Manhattan with his symbiote, forcing S.H.I.E.L.D. to quarantine the city. He also explains that Spider-Man's previous encounters with the symbiote gives him more control over it, though he warns him that the symbiote can still influence his behavior. Tasked with collecting pieces for a sonic generator that can counter the symbiotes, Spider-Man first goes after the Shocker (Liam O'Brien) to obtain his vibro gauntlets. Next, having been informed by the Kingpin, who is also trying to stop the symbiotes, that Spencer Smythe and A.I.M. are working on a secret project involving vibranium, Spider-Man infiltrates A.I.M.'s underground lab through the sewers. Along the way, he must avoid traps set by Kraven the Hunter (Dwight Schultz) and eventually confront him. Inside A.I.M.'s lab, Spider-Man encounters J. Jonah Jameson (Daran Norris), who was captued and cloned as part of a plot by Smythe to discredit both him and Spider-Man. After releasing either Jameson or his clone, Spider-Man defeats Rhino, who was hired to guard the lab, and escapes with the vibranium.
Returning to Manhattan, Spider-Man encounters Luke Cage, who suggests teaming up to fight the symbiotes. While doing so, Spider-Man learns of the Tinkerer's plot to spread the infestation to other countries, and has the option to redirect a train full of symbiotes towards Cage to make his own travel through the city easier. After defeating Cage, who was either infected by a symbiote, or is tyring to remove Spider-Man's black suit in retaliation for redirecting the train, Spider-Man infiltrates the Tinkerer's lab, and encounters a brainwashed Venom, who was captured by the Tinkerer for experimentation. Eventually, Spider-Man defeats the Tinkerer and foils his plot, despite the villain's escape.
Afterwards, Spider-Man arrives on a symbiote-infested Helicarrier to build the sonic generator, but is forced to assist with the evacuation and reactivating the ship's defense systems. He encounters the Jackal (Greg Baldwin), hired by S.H.I.E.L.D. out of desperation for someone to analyze the symbiotes, who reveals that S.H.I.E.L.D. plans to weaponize the symibotes and that he is in league with Spencer Smythe, who aims to control the symbiotes. However, Jackal betrays Smythe and tries to take Spider-Man's symbiote for his own ends. After defeating Jackal, Spider-Man escapes from the Helicarrier as it crashes in the city. Making his way to the crash site, Spider-Man finds a symbiote-infected Jessica Drew (Mary Elizabeth McGlynn), whom he defeats, and the blueprints for the sonic generator. He is then informed by Nick Fury that the sonic generator is on the top of Fisk Tower, so he goes there to combine the parts he collected to a super-computer, completing the generator. However, it is stolen by the Jackal while Spider-Man is busy fighting A.I.M. agents dispatched by Smythe. Claiming that he had nothing to do with the theft and that it's too late to stop the symbiotes, Smythe then unleashes a mind-controlled Black Cat to kill Spider-Man, who either frees her from Smythe's control, or lets the mind-controlling device kill her so that he can take it for himself.
Spider-Man finds the stolen generator in Central Park and confronts Jackal, who reveals that he has modified it to control the symbiotes. After defeating Jackal, Spider-Man recovers the generator and programs it to either destroy or control the symbiotes. As the generator is powered up, Spider-Man finds a symbiote-filled fountain containing seven serpent heads with Venom's consciousness. Using the generator to supply energy that weaken the heads, Spider-Man defeats Venom, allowing him to stop the invasion, or take over Manhattan as the new symbiote leader.[8]
Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions[]
During a confrontation with Mysterio, who attempts to steal the Tablet of Order and Chaos, the Amazing Spider-Man accidentally shatters the tablet into 17 fragments. As Mysterio makes off with one, Spider-Man is approached by Madame Web, who reveals that the other pieces have been scattered across his, the Noir, 2099, and Ultimate universes. To restore balance to the multiverse, Madame Web recruits the Spider-Men of each reality - the Amazing Spider-Man, Spider-Man Noir, Spider-Man 2099, and a black-suited Ultimate Spider-Man - to retrieve the fragments from their native universe. After the Spider-Men collect their first fragment with no difficulty, Madame Web warns them that the fragments can grant incredible powers and must not be allowed to fall into the wrong hands.
While searching for their second fragment, the Spider-Men discover they have already been retrieved by supervillains: Kraven the Hunter in the Amazing universe, who forces Spider-Man to compete for his fragment before using it to gain superhuman speed and strength; Hammerhead in the Noir universe, who uses his fragment to fuse his guns with his arms in a plot to overthrow his boss, Norman Osborn; Hobgoblin in the 2099 universe, who uses his fragment to increase his psy-powers and create illusions to torment Spider-Man; and Electro in the Ultimate universe, who uses his fragment to grow larger and more powerful as he absorbs energy from a hydro-electric dam. In the end, the Spider-Men defeat the villains and retrieve their fragments before heading off to find more.
The Amazing Spider-Man finds another fragment at an abandoned Roxxon Industries quarry, but it is stolen by Sandman, who uses it to increase his powers and take over the quarry. Spider-Man Noir pursues the Vulture, Osborn's right-hand man and his Uncle Ben's killer, for a fragment, which has granted the villain teleportation powers. Spider-Man 2099 faces his half-brother, the Scorpion, who has stolen a fragment from the Public Eye Patrol and used it to create numerous offspring. Ultimate Spider-Man competes in Deadpool's reality TV show, Pain Factor, for a fragment, which the latter eventually uses to clone himself. Meanwhile, Mysterio discovers his fragment granted him magic powers, and seeks out the rest. When the Spider-Men return to Madame Web with the fragments they collected, Mysterio attacks them, threatening to kill Madame Web if they do not deliver the remaining pieces.
The Amazing Spider-Man finds his final fragment at a construction yard, but is forced to intervene in the Wild Pack's chase of the Juggernaut after the latter unknowingly picks it up. For his final fragment, Spider-Man Noir faces Osborn, who has used it to become "the Goblin" and taken over a carnival to lure in Spider-Man. Spider-Man 2099 breaks into Alchemax, where he finds his final fragment in the hands of his time period's Doctor Octopus, who plans to use it to power a dangerous reactor. Ultimate Spider-Man visits the Triskelion to collect his final fragment from S.H.I.E.L.D., only to find the base under Carnage's control after S.H.I.E.L.D. scientists fused the creature with the fragment, giving it the ability to resurrect its victims into zombie-like minions.
Upon retrieving the final set of fragments, the Spider-Men return to Mysterio, who absorbs the complete tablet after a brief struggle and becomes a god. He shatters the borders between realities, seeking to create a new one under his rule, but this allows Madame Web to summon the four Spider-Men to fight Mysterio together. Following Mysterio's defeat, the multiverse is restored to normal and Spider-Man Noir, Spider-Man 2099, and Ultimate Spider-Man return to their native realities, while the Amazing Spider-Man takes Mysterio to prison.[9]
Spider-Man: Edge of Time[]
In the year 2099, Miguel O'Hara / Spider-Man 2099 investigates Alchemax scientist Walker Sloan. While spying on him, the former discovers the latter plans to travel back in time to establish Alchemax years before its original founding, allowing him to rebuild the company in his image and dismantle its corporate rivals before they are even established. O'Hara fails to stop Sloan from entering his time gateway and is temporarily trapped between dimensions and witnesses visions of his predecessor Peter Parker / Spider-Man being killed by an unknown assailant. Returning to an altered version of 2099, an unaffected O'Hara uses Parker's DNA from Alchemax's archives to establish a mental, chronal link between them across time to warn Parker, now working for Alchemax, of his impending death. However, Parker refuses to heed it and travels to the 66th floor to stop a rampaging Anti-Venom, forcing O'Hara to head to his own 66th floor.
Along the way, the Spider-Men discover Sloan has built another gateway in Parker's time, which created a "quantum causality field", linking their time periods and causing actions in the past to directly alter the future. Arriving at the 66th floor, Parker finds himself confronted by Anti-Venom, Sloan, and Alchemax's head scientist, Dr. Otto Octavius. He battles Anti-Venom, who drains his powers to the point of death. Before Anti-Venom can kill him, O'Hara pulls Parker through the gateway and places him in a containment unit to heal while he travels to the past and defeats Anti-Venom, breaking the chips that allowed Sloan to control him. Furious at Sloan for using him, Anti-Venom attacks Sloan and Octavius, inadvertently pushing all three into the gateway; destabilizing it and trapping the Spider-Men in each other's time periods.
While attempting to repair the gateway, the Spider-Men are attacked by inter-dimensional tentacles. Using Alchemax's archives, they succeed, though Parker encounters his future self, who used an anti-aging drug to become Alchemax's CEO and wishes to use Sloan's portal for his own ends. Eventually, the Spider-Men are able to return to their original time periods, but a monster resembling Anti-Venom with Octavius' tentacles follows Parker through as the gateway creates a "time storm". Calling it "Atrocity", Parker evades the monster while attempting to secure DNA samples from it for O'Hara, who discovers it is a combination of Sloan, Anti-Venom, and Octavius and theorizes that forcing it back into the gateway should disrupt the time storm. However, the CEO contacts O'Hara to reveal his intent to harness the storm's quantum energy so he can rewrite history in his image. While Parker lures Atrocity back to the gateway and sends it through, O'Hara does the same with the CEO; collapsing the gateway, ending the time storm, and reversing all of Sloan's changes with only the Spider-Men remembering the events.[10]
The Amazing Spider-Man[]
Months after Dr. Curt Connors' incarceration, Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy sneak into the restricted areas of Oscorp after hours to investigate the rumors of the company continuing Connors' cross-species experiments. They are caught by new Oscorp director Alistair Smythe, who confirms the rumors and gives them a tour of Oscorp's restricted areas to see the experiments themselves. However, the cross-species react to Peter, a cross-species himself, and break out, infecting numerous scientists, including Smythe and Gwen, with a deadly virus they are carrying. Donning his Spider-Man suit, Peter gets the infected to quarantine, but fails to stop the cross-species from escaping into the city.
After a fight with S-01, a massive cross-species hunting robot created by Smythe, Spider-Man releases the incarcerated Connors from the Beloit Psychiatric Hospital to help find a cure for the virus, but in the process unwittingly releases other patients that escape into the city. Spider-Man and Connors set up a laboratory at the apartment of Aunt May's friend Stan, and begin development of an antidote while keeping in close contact with Gwen and Smythe via webcam, unaware that Smythe is developing his own "cure" using nanobots that destroy the host from the inside out. After defeating Rhino, one of the escaped cross-species, Spider-Man retrieves Connors' research from a secret Oscorp lab before it gets destroyed. While there, he meets Whitney Chang, an undercover investigative reporter who enlists Spider-Man's help in unveiling Oscorp's suspicious activities. Spider-Man also collects a blood sample from the rat ross-species, Vermin, for Connors' antidote, while battling a group of "Hunters" - a new type of cross-species hunting robot who identify him as one.
Spider-Man eventually delivers Connors' antidote to Gwen at Oscorp, now under complete quarantine. However, a skeptical Smythe takes and tests it on himself, claiming that, if it works, Oscorp will replicate it and he will take all the credit as the city's savior. However, instead of curing him, the antidote causes Smythe to lose the use of his legs and sanity. Enraged, he commands his robots to eliminate Spider-Man, who escapes after destroying S-02. Realizing that Spider-Man is a unique cross-species who maintains his humanity, Connors creates a new antidote using his DNA, which Spider-Man again delivers to Oscorp, fighting his way past security and the Scorpion cross-species. The antidote works, saving Gwen's and the other scientists' lives.
As the CDC quarantines the city due to the advancement of the virus, Spider-Man, while waiting for Connors to replicate the antidote, returns to his heroic activities. He foils a bank robbery orchestrated by Felicia Hardy, one of the escaped Beloit Psychiatric Hospital patients, defeats Scorpion again in the city, stops Rhino from poisoning the city's water supply, and rescues the district attorney from the Iguana cross-species in the sewers. Meanwhile, Smythe, having been fired from Oscorp for his actions, discovers Spider-Man's secret identity and kidnaps Connors from their apartment, challenging Spider-Man to come and rescue him at Oscorp's robotics facility. While he rescues Connors, Spider-Man is captured by Smythe, who injects him with a nanobot serum that strips away his powers, and reveals his plan to spread the same serum across the city using his greatest invetion yet, S-03, unaware that the nanobots are slowly killing the host. Spider-Man escapes and makes his away across a Manhattan consumed by chaos to Connors' secret lab, where he reunites with him and Gwen.
While Connors goes to stop Smythe as the Lizard, Gwen resuscitates the dying Spider-Man with an AED. Realizing that electricity can destroy the nanobots, Spider-Man leaves to assist the Lizard and boards S-03 with Whitney Chang's help, whereupon he electrocutes himself to destroy the nanobots, regaining his powers. Spider-Man and the Lizard defeat Smythe, but Connors succumbs to his reptilian alter ego's consciousness and flees into the sewers. Leaving a remorseful Smythe, who regained his sanity, for the police, Spider-Man pursues the Lizard, along the way defeating Natie, the piranha cross-species, and saving Gwen, who reprograms a Hunter to administer the cure across the city. Eventually, Spider-Man defeats and cures the Lizard, whereupon Connors willingly returns to prison. As the city slowly returns to normal, both Spider-Man and the Lizard are credited as its saviors. Peter and Gwen learn from the news that Smythe has escaped custody, but decides to deal with it later.[11]
The Amazing Spider-Man 2[]
Peter Parker has been fighting crime in New York City as Spider-Man for two years, motivated by the death of his Uncle Ben at the hand of criminal Dennis Carradine. Resuming his search for Carradine, whom he failed to catch two years ago, Spider-Man tracks him down using a lead from Herman Schultz, one of Carradine's contractors. However, Carradine is promptly killed by the "Carnage Killer", a serial killer who murders other criminals. Spider-Man vows to capture the Carnage Killer so that they may face justice.
Later, Spider-Man stops Schultz's gang and the Russian Mob from destroying the Oscorp building while raiding it for advanced weapons to help them win the turf war they have engaged in. Spider-Man rescues an electric engineer named Max Dillon, who idolizes him, and encounters Schultz again, who is now sporting vibro-shock gauntlets and calling himself the "Shocker". After defeating him, Shocker reveals that all major gangs in the city are now involved in the turf war, and are fearful of the Carnage Killer. In response to the attack on Oscorp, the company's new CEO Harry Osborn and billionaire Wilson Fisk join forces to fund the Enhanced Crime Task Force, a privatized police force meant to contain criminals, as well as vigilantes like Spider-Man.
Spider-Man begins to be mentored by Kraven the Hunter, who teaches him his hunting techniques to help him become a better hero, while working together to track down the Carnage Killer. Using information Spider-Man retrieves from the Russian Mob's hideouts, they deduce where the killer will strike next, and confront him. The Carnage Killer, whose real name is revealed to be Cletus Kasady, claims that he and Spider-Man are very alike and should join forces, but is promptly defeated and arrested. Kasady is taken to the Ravencroft Institute for the Criminally Insane, where he is experimented on with a red substance code-named "Venom", originally meant to cure the illness that killed Norman Osborn.
Following Kasady's capture, the gang war comes to an abrupt end as a crime lord known as the "Kingpin" seizes all the power. The Kingpin sends Felicia Hardy, a former bank robber who gained super-powers through genetic experiments funded by him, to kill Spider-Man, but she refuses to do so. Knowing the Kingpin will try to have her killed for disobeying him, Felicia reveals his identity as Fisk to Spider-Man before going into hiding. To learn more about Fisk's activities, Spider-Man visits Harry as Peter, only to discover that his old friend has inherited his father's illness. Harry asks for Spider-Man's blood, believing it can be used to develop a cure, but the hero, afraid of the possible side effects, refuses to give it to him, enraging Harry.
Meanwhile, Kraven lures Spider-Man into an ambush, where he reveals he was hired by Fisk to kill him, and only trained him to make Spider-Man an worthy opponent. After defeating him, Kraven reveals that Fisk is the one who sent Kasady on a killing spree, to scare the citizens of New York into supporting his plans for redeveloping the city, and to weaken Fisk's rivals so that he could take over. Kraven then helps Spider-Man find Fisk's hideout, where he defeats him and tries to hack into his computer for incriminating evidence. However, he is forced to leave after Max Dillon escapes from Ravencroft (where he as incarcerated following the freak accident that transformed him into "Electro") and causes a blackout. Spider-Man fights Electro until his body overloads and he is killed.
Later, while responding to an attack on Oscorp, Spider-Man is shocked to find Harry, who has become the "Green Goblin" after injecting himself with Richard Parker's spider venom in hopes of curing himself. Spider-Man defeats Harry, who is mortally impaled by his own glider while trying to attack the hero from behind. Meawnhile, Kasady discovers how to bond with the symbiote he has been injected with and becomes "Carnage". He tries to escape from Ravencroft, but is defeated by Spider-Man after discovering the symbiote's weakness to fire. Wounded, Kasady begs Spider-Man to kill him, but he refuses, reminding him they are nothing alike. Kasady is subsequently re-incarcerated and the symbiote removed from his body.
After visiting his old friend Stan, Peter is inspired to be the man Uncle Ben would have wanted him to be, and resumes his never-ending battle against crime.[12]
Marvel's Spider-Man[]
Following the capture of Wilson Fisk by Spider-Man, a masked gang known as the Inner Demons begin seizing Fisk's illicit assets. Mary Jane and Spider-Man learn that the Demons are seeking something called Devil's Breath. With the aid of Officer Jefferson Davis, Spider-Man thwarts a Demon attack. Davis is lauded for his heroism at a re-election event for Mayor Norman Osborn. The Demons attack the event, killing Davis and many other attendees. Peter witnesses Martin Li transforming into their leader, Mister Negative, but is knocked unconscious before he can intervene. Following the attack, Osborn hires Silver Sablinova and Sable International to supplant the police. Peter befriends Davis' son Miles and persuades him to volunteer at F.E.A.S.T.
Peter and Otto Octavius continue their research into advanced prosthetic limbs, but Osborn withdraws their funding in an attempt to force Octavius to work for his mega-corporation Oscorp. While searching for Li, Spider-Man discovers that Devil's Breath is a lethal, virulent bioweapon inadvertently created by Oscorp while developing a cure for genetic diseases. Li locates and steals the only sample of Devil's Breath and threatens to release it unless Osborn surrenders to him. Li is foiled by Mary Jane and Spider-Man and subsequently incarcerated at a nearby maximum-security prison called the Raft, while the Devil's Breath is secured.
Meanwhile, Octavius obsesses over creating enhanced limbs that exceed the limitations of the human body, creating four mechanical tentacles operated from his back and mentally controlled via a neural interface. He reveals to Peter that he is suffering from a neuromuscular disease that will inevitably immobilize him, and that enhanced limbs will allow him to continue his work when his body fails. Peter warns Octavius that the interface could impact his mind and personality. Octavius continues its use in secret, overcome with anger at Osborn. While investigating a breakout at the Raft, Spider-Man learns that some of his greatest enemies —Li, Electro, Vulture, Rhino, and Scorpion— have escaped. They subdue Spider-Man and present him to Octavius, now "Doctor Octopus," who warns the beaten Spider-Man not to interfere before retaking the Devil's Breath and releasing it in Times Square, causing a mass outbreak that infects numerous people, including Aunt May. New York descends into chaos while Octavius' team attacks the city. Osborn declares martial law and blames Spider-Man for the incident, branding him a fugitive.
Spider-Man gradually takes back the city, defeating Electro, Vulture, Rhino, and Scorpion. Mary Jane infiltrates Osborn's penthouse and learns that Devil's Breath was developed to cure Osborn's terminally ill son Harry. As a child, Li was a test subject for the cure, gaining his abilities in an explosion of energy that also killed his parents and caused his hatred for Osborn. She also learns that an antidote for Devil's Breath exists and that Li has stolen it. Spider-Man tracks down and defeats Li, but Octavius arrives, brutalizes Spider-Man, and escapes with the antidote and Osborn. While Spider-Man recovers, Miles is bitten by an Oscorp genetically modified spider that Mary Jane unknowingly carried from Osborn's penthouse.
Wounded, Peter builds himself an armored suit and confronts Octavius atop Oscorp Tower, rescuing Osborn. Octavius reveals that he knows Peter's secret identity and a battle ensues. Spider-Man retrieves the antidote and defeats Octavius, leaving him to be arrested. Peter is forced to choose between using the limited cure to save May from her imminent death or synthesize a vaccine for the infected masses; he chooses to save everyone. Before she dies, May reveals that she knows he is Spider-Man, and that she is proud of him.
Three months later, New York has returned to normal and Peter and Mary Jane rekindle their relationship. Miles reveals to Peter that he has gained spider-like powers, prompting Peter to reveal his own. Osborn enters a secret laboratory where Harry is kept in stasis with a black, web-like substance. As Osborn places his hand on the tank, the substance reacts and copies him.[13][14]
Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales[]
After more than a year of training under Peter Parker, Miles Morales has mastered his spider-like abilities and established himself as the original Spider-Man's crime fighting partner, though he still struggles to adapt into his new role. While escorting a police convoy carrying prisoners to the rebuilt Raft, Miles accidentally frees Rhino, who wreaks havoc in Harlem. While Miles stops the other escapees, Peter struggles against Rhino, who eventually overpowers him. Miles intervenes and defeats Rhino with his new bio-electric ability, later dubbed "Venom Blast". Leaving Rhino in Roxxon's custody, Peter informs Miles that he will be assisting his girlfriend, Daily Bugle reporter Mary Jane Watson, with her assignment in Symkaria for a few weeks as her photographer, and entrusts him to look after the city in his absence.
Several weeks later, Peter returns from Symkaria and praises Miles for his growth and heroism before they head off to fight crime together.[15]

Personality[]
A quipping, web-slinging superhero, Peter Parker takes up for responsibility after the death of his beloved uncle, Ben Parker. Due to this, he becomes the Spider-Man to protect others, following Ben's important lesson. Although having lost others, Peter still stands tall to defend his people from threats, despite him being presumed to be a 'menace'.
Powers and Abilities[]
Spider-Man can, as said in Spider-Man's well-known theme song, do whatever a spider can, as result of being bitten by a radioactive one. This makes him incredibly sticky, which allows him to wall-crawl; receive inhumane extra abilities, such as enhanced strength and stamina, etc.
With his already genius level-intellect, Peter Parker created web-shooters, gadgets, his trademark suit(s), strong web fluid and more.[16]
Origin Story[]
Note: This story is based off of Amazing Fantasy #15 (The first Spider-Man comic). For more about Spider-Man in other media, see Spider-Man's page on the Marvel Wiki.
The wildly known story of Spider-Man is about a high school "nerd" Peter Parker. Peter goes to a new science exhibit that just opened. A laser-type machine filled with radioactivity accidently shoots a spider that is dangling from the ceiling. The spider, in an attempt to stay alive, tries to get rid of it's radioactivity by biting the nearest living creature, which just happens to be Peter. Peter then gains amazing abilities, including his early danger warning system (his spider-sense), increased stamina, the ability to scale (climb) most surfaces, and super-strength.
He then enters a ring match with "Crusher Hogan", a very muscular wrestler (Peter is disguised with a handkerchief over his head). After winning the match, Peter goes back home and starts to work on his web-shooters and his new costume. After showing off his new powers on T.V. (in his new costume) he finds a cop trying to catch a thief who stole money from the studio. The cop yells at Peter, but Peter just says that he's thru with being pushed around by others. afterwards, he continues showing off his amazing powers on T.V.
One night, he returns home and finds a police car in front of his house. A cop tells Peter that his Uncle Ben has been killed. Peter demands to know who killed him. The cop tells Peter that it was a burglar who is now cornered at an old warehouse. Peter then quickly changes into his Spider-Man costume and goes to the warehouse.
He then beats up the crook and then is shocked to find that it is the thief he let escape. He is then shown grieving about his uncle's death, saying that it's all his fault. He then swears to use his powers for good.[16]
Trivia[]
- Spider-Man's face in Marvel's Spider-Man: Remastered has been remodeled as oppose of Spider-Man.[14]
- This now makes him look younger than he was before, causing some backlash, such as fans (jokingly?) stating that he looks younger than Peter's friend Miles Morales.
- Spider-Man's first appearance in games in general dates back to 1982's Spider-Man for the Atari 2600. This is also the first official Marvel game.
- Spider-Man's first original suit in a videogame was the Advanced Suit in Marvel's Spider-Man.
- If Spider-Man: Homecoming - Virtual Reality Experience and Spider-Man: Far From Home - Virtual Reality Experience are included, all of Spider-Man's films have been turned into games.
- Spider-Man will appear in Marvel's Avengers as a DLC, releasing sometime during fall or winter season.[18]
- It is believed to release sometime around November and December, 2021.
- Spider-Man equips multiple suit powers for (nearly) each suit you'd get in the Marvel's Spider-Man series. These are basically power-ups.
- Spider-Man mostly appears in PlayStation-exclusive games, due to being a property of Sony.
- An example of this is the Marvel's Spider-Man series.
- Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales is the first game to feature a different character holding the title as the overall protagonist.[15]
- This character is Miles Morales, Peter's younger equivalent in the Marvel's Spider-Man series.[15][19]
