Summon Night is a strategy role-playing game released by Banpresto for the PlayStation in 2000. The game was released exclusively in Japan. A remake for the Nintendo DS was released in 2008.
Gameplay[]
The gameplay of Summon Night is generally divided into three parts: adventure, battle and night conversations. The adventure element involves moving around the map, shopping and speaking to other characters. Going to events can advance the story, or trigger a battle, where the player controls up to 8 characters at once. During the night conversations, the player chooses another character and a scenario between the 2 characters plays.
Summoning[]
The key element of battles is Summoning, which the player uses to summon monsters to attack or use effects. Summoning is done by combining Sumonite stones and accessories.
