The Midway was a series of carnival-style game spaces created by Mass Media for PlayStation Home. It first launched on the 1 July 2010 with ten initial mini-games, over a hundred rewards, and included a free personal space upon entry. The space was expanded with The Midway 2 on the 9 December 2010, and again with The Midway 3 and the Hot Zone hub on the 16 May 2012.
Gameplay[]
Playing games in any of the The Midways was done by using green tickets, which were purchasable through the PlayStation Store. Players that stayed in the carnival area would also be able to play games for free for randomly occurring, limited time periods.
Mini-games[]
Each Midway featured ten mini-games that offered a variety of prizes upon completion of each level. The mini-game Miz Fortune was featured in all three Midways, with new prizes each time.
The Hot Zone hub world also included a mini-game, titled Hot Streak Air Hockey, where the player could earn Hot Zone points to spend at the Redemption Center for more prizes.
