Tomba!, known as Ore! Tomba in Japan and Tombi! in the PAL region, is a game for the PlayStation. The game is a side-scrolling platformer and stars the titular character, Tomba, who is on a quest to retrieve his grandfather's bangle, which was stolen by the enemies in the game, the pigs.

Abilities[]

Jumping[]

Jumping is the primary way Tomba defeats enemies and is the only way to open things such as chests. When Tomba jumps on an enemy, he will grab them and throw them away.

Swinging[]

Tomba has the ability to swing on branches and poles. This allows him to find hidden areas and progress through the levels.

Weapons[]

Through the game, Tomba will come across weapons such as a boomerang and a mace. These give Tomba alternate ways of defeating enemies.

Missions[]

Within the game, there is a mission system. During these missions, Tomba's skills come into play. Completing a mission gives Tomba adventure points (AP). This AP is required to open AP boxes which will either give out more AP or items. There are also special places and information that can only be accessed with enough AP. There are 130 missions in the game.

Story[]

Tomba! takes place on a group of islands which do not appear on any map. The people of the islands have lived in peace for many years. However, seven evil pigs appeared one day and used their magical powers to mutate the landscape. Later, the minions of the Evil Pigs, the Koma Pigs, stole a bangle that belonged to Tomba's grandfather, as well as a substantial amount of gold.

Tomba then sets out to get the bangle back and stop the pigs. In order to trap the seven Evil Pigs, Tomba must find the Evil Pig Bags.
