Tomba is the star of his self-titled series.
Personality
Tomba is a wild child who sees his missions through to the end. He is also protective of his friends, as shown in the second game where he stops at nothing to find Tabby.
History
Pre-Game
It is implied through the game's plot that Tomba was either raised by his grandfather or at least very close to him.
Tomba!
Tomba's adventure takes place on a group of islands which do not appear on any map. The people of the islands have lived in peace for many years. However, seven evil pigs appeared one day and used their magical powers to mutate the landscape. Later, the minions of the Evil Pigs, the Koma Pigs, stole a bangle that belonged to Tomba's grandfather, as well as a substantial amount of gold.
Tomba then sets out to get the bangle back and stop the pigs. In order to trap the seven Evil Pigs, Tomba must find the Evil Pig Bags.
Tomba! 2: The Evil Swine Return
After the previous adventure, Tomba is resting peacefully. However, his friend, Zippo, finds a mysterious letter addressed to him. The letter reads that Tabby, Tomba's childhood friend, has disappeared. Tomba then leaps into the sea to go find her.
Tomba and Zippo end up in a fisherman village and meet an old man named Kainen. They move onto the Coal-Mining Town, where Tabby lives. It is later revealed that Tabby has been kidnapped.
Tomba learns from a villager named Gran that the Evil Pigs cursed the entire continent. She then gives Tomba one of the Pig Bags. As he travels through the continent, he collects the rest of the Pig Bags. When there is only one left, the leader of the Evil Pigs reveals himself and tempts Tomba into going to his lair.
In the lair, the last Evil Pig freezes time. The battle ends with Tomba capturing him but he swears to return. Tomba and Zippo rescue Tabby and they escape on the back of Baron, a flying dog. During a feast at Tabby's home, Kainen appears and gives Tomba a monkey suit. He is later allowed to pilot a boat to go home but he is involved in an accident on the way there.
