Plot[]
The game starts with a cutscene of Nate and Sully meeting up with Talbot to sell Sir Francis's motto ring in the upper floor of a bar. Sully looks at the money and then figures out is it fake. One of Talbot's men says to take the money and go. Drake refuses and starts a bar fight. The player must then knock out all the enemies attacking them. After Drake and Sully escape the bar into the back, Drake and Sully are cornered by Talbot's men. They get shot and a backflash begins a new chapter, telling the story of how Drake and Sully met.
Setting[]
The Rub' al Khali desert is a wide-spread desert located in the Middle East. It is featured as a setting and chapter in Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception. Throughout the chapter Nate walks around in the Rub' al Khali, desperate for water, civilization, and finding Sully. The Rub' al Khali chapter is the only chapter where there is no conflict of any kind. Sully does appear in this chapter, but only as Nate's hallucination.
